Circuit-bending rock band CMKT4 will be in Cincinnati September 26th and will be stopping by Hive13 to lead a workshop on building bottle cap contact microphones. The workshop will start at 2:00pm and last about three hours. The last hour or so will include a performance by the band while the handmade microphones dry.
Participants will be able to purchase contact microphone kits from CMKT4 and build them for $15. Additional kits of parts can be purchased for $10 for those that want to build more than one microphone. Hive13 will provide the soldering tools needed. Note: You must pay the $15 directly to CMKT4 in person to participate in the workshop.
